Privacy Policy
Escape Hatch ("the App") is developed by Tumblefern LLC ("Tumblefern," "we," "us," or "our") under our Product Lab venture. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information.
1. Summary
Escape Hatch performs savings and retirement calculations on your device. Calculator inputs and saved scenarios stay on your device and are not sent to Tumblefern. The app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements and Google User Messaging Platform to manage advertising privacy choices. These services may process device, advertising, and diagnostic information as described below.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
Tumblefern does not receive your calculator inputs, saved scenarios, financial account information, contacts, photos, or precise location through Escape Hatch. The app does not require an account or connect to financial accounts. Its core calculations work without an internet connection. Advertising services may receive device and ad-related information; the statements in this section do not exclude that processing.
3. Information You Enter
Values you enter into Escape Hatch, such as starting balance, contribution amount, interest rate, time horizon, inflation assumptions, and payout estimates, are used to generate projections on your device. Calculator inputs, preferences, and saved scenarios are stored locally and are not sent to Tumblefern or Google for advertising. Deleting the app removes its local calculator data.
The app also stores a random anonymous installation identifier in the device Keychain to record acceptance of the app’s terms locally. This identifier is not sent to Tumblefern or Google and does not identify your name, email address, Apple ID, or financial accounts. Keychain information may remain after the app is deleted.
4. Shareable Projection Summaries
Escape Hatch lets you generate a shareable summary of a projection and share it using your device's native share sheet (for example, via Messages, Mail, or another app you choose). When you use this feature, you control where the summary goes — it is shared directly from your device through the destination you select. Tumblefern does not receive, store, or have access to shared summaries.
5. Third-Party Services
Escape Hatch uses Google AdMob for advertising. Google’s Mobile Ads SDK may process IP addresses, approximate location inferred from IP addresses, device identifiers, advertising data, app and ad interactions, crash information, and performance information. Google and advertising partners may use this information for advertising, measurement, analytics, service improvement, and fraud prevention. Processing depends on the services used, device settings, and applicable privacy choices.
Google User Messaging Platform manages advertising consent where required. When advertising privacy options are required, you can reopen them using Ad Privacy Choices in the app. Apple’s permissions govern access to the advertising identifier where applicable.

6. Children’s Privacy
Escape Hatch is not directed at children under 13. If you believe personal information relating to a child has been provided to Tumblefern, contact info@tumblefern.com.
7. Your Choices
You can remove locally stored calculator data by deleting the app. Where available, use Ad Privacy Choices in the app to review or change advertising consent. You can also manage relevant permissions in iOS Settings. Deleting the app does not itself delete information already processed by Google or Apple; consult their privacy policies for their available controls.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected in an updated "Last Updated" date above, and where required by Apple App Store guidelines or applicable law, we will provide additional notice.
9. Educational Purpose Disclaimer
Escape Hatch is provided for educational and planning purposes only. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, or retirement advice, and its projections are estimates based on the assumptions you enter — not guarantees of future results. Consult a qualified financial, tax, or legal professional before making decisions based on information from the App.
